Some critics talked about the jump from Alien to Aliens, Ridley Scott to David Big Cheese Cameron. Still, I couldn't feel that impressing sensation of imminent danger that made DS1 into the game I loved. I played it on the level above normal, got killed a lot of times. It was worthy for achieving a overwhelmingly macabre feel that no one on cinema, lest gaming industry, today manage to achieve. It was worthy not because the script, storytelling or game mechanics (despite dismemberment being original). Critics called DS1 "unoriginal", but that's missing the point completely. But, as Picasso reportedly said, the mediocre artist copies, the great artist steals. Yes, there were recycled levels, and yes, they ripped off lots of stuff from other games.

And DS1 delivered, as no movie or game in recent memory could do - maybe with the exception of Silent Hill 2. Now, what made me love DS1 was exactly that, as a seasoned horror fan, it's very hard to find something to gave me real shivers, be it in movies or games. In other words, Dead Space 1 was too good to be successful. As the developers stated in an interview, the first game was deemed "too scary" for mainstream audience, and they considered that the reason behind the mediocre sales of the masterpiece that is Dead Space 1. You really believe this far-future sci fi world exists, even though it doesn't. There is an incredible sense of time and place. The graphics, audio, and artwork are also well executed. One involving a monster chasing Isaac, with the camera peering over Isaac's front, is an ingeniously crafted action sequence. There are alot of standout "set piece" sequences, similar to the Uncharted series. As it is, it's the gameplay of old, but much more polished. Gameplay could have also been spruced up a bit with some new features. Enemies also seem to have been recycled from the first, and there aren't many unique monsters. The more action-y gameplay however, has meant alot of the slower paced horror and creepiness of the first game have been left by the wayside. Combat is as frantic as ever, and harder difficulties really challenge the player to use ammo smartly and have good situational awareness.
Isaac feels more nible and responsive than his past self, which makes for more fluid gameplay. The gameplay also feels tighter and more polished than the first. The story and universe are also expanded upon from the first, with lots of interesting backstory delivered in the form of interesting text and audio logs. This parlays into much more interesting and meaningful missions, as there is now a personal impetus to get through the story. No longer is he the mute protagonist running to and fro playing errand boy for other people this time he is a living human being, driven by his own personal objectives. The most significant improvement is that they gave Isaac a voice. This is a superior game to it's predecessor in every way possible.

from the low gravity parts, in the first game you have to aim then jump to move where you wanted to go but in here you have full control of the character, second, you have alot more weapons, i pre ordered the collectors edition which means i got the riviot gun and the gun wasnt that bad, its effective on some of the creatures but not all of them which brings me to my next point, they added more creatures to the game, you have the puker, the sist, the pack which is a screaming baby thing who will hunt in packs to try and kill you, and the stalker, this game is over all amazing but thats just the beginning, they have also added a new multiplayer mode which is you are either human or creature, and if your human you have objectives to complete but while the creatures are trying to kill you but if your on the creature side you try and stop the humans from completeing their objectives and this mode is really really fun, i am amazed but how far they have come since the first dead space, i hope they make another dead sapce but right now i kindof doubt it will happen, go get this game, you wont be disappointed … Expand Let me start off by saying that i wasnt a real big fan on the first dead space and i came into this game having low expectations but wow did let me start off by saying that i wasnt a real big fan on the first dead space and i came into this game having low expectations but wow did they improve everything.
